Hello

I’m J Fitzpatrick, founder and host of ProEpilogue, the podcast where you are the guest and you decide the audience. I created this podcast to help people share heartfelt messages with the ones they love, messages meant to be heard posthumously. Whether it’s a story, a memory, or a simple “I love you,” your voice can bring comfort, connection, and peace when it’s needed most.

My Story

My life is pretty great. I’m married to an amazing woman who I met in a random chat room on the internet in 1998. (You can listen to that story right here!) We have two awesome kids- one in high school and one in college- who still enjoy hanging out with us so we spend as much time together as we can enjoying simple things like family dinners, playing games, and staying active.

In spring 2024, life threw us a curveball. After a routine blood test, I was diagnosed with blood cancer (later identified as Chronic Myeloid Leukemia). During my stay in the hospital, I was scared of the unknown and that my time with my family was exponentially limited. I wrote about my feelings in a journal and recorded my thoughts in voice memos on my phone and that’s when I conceived the concept of ProEpilogue.

You're probably thinking, "But why a podcast? Why not just tell your loved ones how you feel?” Trust me, I do. As often as I can. But there are stories, memories, and words of wisdom that are best shared when the time is right. The ProEpilogue Podcast offers a unique and fun way to carry love beyond this lifetime. Your personalized episode will provide comfort, smiles, and love when it's needed most...because it's your voice.

How Does it Work?

Recording a podcast is easy and fun. As the host, my job is to guide you through each part of the three-step process. Here's how it works.

Step 1. You and I will connect in person, on the phone, or via an online meeting to discuss the details of what your episode will be about, the date and time of our recording session, and the recording logistics. This usually takes about 30 minutes.

Step 2. On the scheduled date and time, we'll connect to record your episode. We'll either meet in person or I'll send you a link to meet online. The interview / recording process can take anywhere from 30 - 45 minutes.

Step 3. Once the recording is complete, I will edit the audio file and produce a final product: your very own personalized podcast episode. Post-production can take up to two weeks. Once the episode is finalized, you will be given an electronic audio file playable on any device.
